Our team of pressure testing engineers are highly experienced with conducting Instrumented Buoyancy Loss (IBL) and Collapse Testing.
Working closely with our customers that manufacture a world-leading range of subsea buoyancy solutions for challenging environments, we carry out short and long-term buoyancy testing in a safe, tightly controlled facility to the relevant current API standards.
During a typical IBL test, the test sample is subjected to hyperbaric pressures equivalent to the rated depth of the buoyancy module for a set time. The amount of buoyancy (or uplift) is monitored throughout the duration of the test and the amount of buoyancy loss is plotted and extrapolated to End of Life (EOL).
Our test fixture connects to the underside of the pressure vessel closure and our engineers designed a device to prevent overloading the precision load cell during loading and unloading the test sample to and from the high pressure testing chamber.
Simulating the deep harsh ocean conditions with customer specific test profiles and procedures that monitor and capture the data for accurate test reporting.
