It was great to have one of our senior design engineers attending the IMechE Certification of Pressure Systems Equipment conference held in London yesterday (15th June 2022).
The event took place at IMechE’s headquarters in Westminster and had many leading industry figures addressing the seminar regarding the certification and compliance challenges for pressure equipment manufacturers in a post-Brexit landscape.
At the start of 2021, legislation requiring goods on the UK market to carry the new UKCA Mark came into effect. From January 1st 2023 this legislation will begin to be fully enforced and unprepared firms will be exposed to severe disruption in ensuring they remain compliant and keep their documentation up to date in line with the new standards.
KW Designed Solutions Senior Design Engineer, Jon Standring said “This was a must-attend event at the prestigious IMechE’s Birdcage Walk headquarters, where attendees were able to gain an oversight of the challenges that the upcoming legislation will present to organisations across the pressure equipment industry. Presentations from key stakeholders gave insightful perspectives from different sectors of the industry and the event provided a forum for attendees to feedback and highlight challenges the legislation will present to their own organisations”
